Quite simply; because it works. I practice within a large orthopedic group. This has placed me in a very unique situation and given me unparalleled knowledge regarding interdisciplinary communication. Weekly, I attend grand rounds and spine conference at a local hospital with neurosurgeons, spine surgeons, etc. Through this experience I found that they placed a very large emphasis on credible, peer-reviewed research. Furthermore, it appeared to drive their practice decisions. By sharing research related to chiropractic with them, I began to see an increase in my referrals. I then began to share this research with medical doctors in my community and saw even greater referral numbers.
Amazingly, very few chiropractors are taking advantage of the abundance of research which continues to display the effectiveness, affordability, and safety of chiropractic care. If you are one of the chiropractors not consistently reaching out to medical doctors in your community then you are missing out on many potential referrals. My system is proven and affordable. I want to see chiropractic utilization increase. We can do this by increasing interdisciplinary communication and referrals. Let’s do this together starting today.

Epidural Steroid Injections Increase Risk of Vertebral Fracture- A Review by The Evidence Based Chiropractor
The Evidence Based Chiropractor is the fast growing chiropractic marketing group in the profession. Find out the latest research regarding vertebral fracture and its link to epidural steroid injections.
Research recently came to light which shows an increased risk of vertebral fracture for patients whom had received lumbar epidural steroid injections.
The study, which appears in the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, randomly selected 3,000 patients who had a lumbar epidural steroid injection and compared them to 3,000 patients who did not undergo the procedure. There were no significant differences between the groups regarding patient age, gender, corticosteroid use or hyperthyroidism, according to the study abstract.
Researchers found each successive injection increased fracture risk by a factor of 1.21. This is extremely important because many patients receive multiple ESI's (therefore increasing their risk of fracture).
This article highlights why its imperative to be reaching out to MD's in your circle of practice on a monthly basis. Want More MD Referrals?
Most MD’s don’t know what we do.
Crunch. Crack. Pop. Fast. Forceful. High Velocity. Rotation.
These are the words that most medical doctors think of when they think of chiropractic care. They see symptomatic patients unable to walk and can’t see how a chiropractor will help by “crunching” their spine. Or they see a patient with a cervical spine herniation and cringe at the thought of a high velocity adjustment. This is a huge barrier to referrals. The truth is that many medical doctors have no idea what we do!
By educating, engaging, and informing these physicians about various adjusting techniques, effectiveness, and safety of chiropractic care, you can build trust, respect, and ultimately referrals. The most effective and affordable way to do this is to market through research. I practice within a large orthopedic group and have discovered a consistent system to increase referrals and interdisciplinary communication. If you lack the time or resources to create these for yourself, then please contact me and I will provide you with current, motivating, customized research briefs delivered to your inbox as a PDF each month for only $25. Let’s increase our referrals, let’s increase chiropractic utilization. Many of my members are receiving over 1000% ROI using our service!

Healthy Eating Plate from Harvard School of Public Health
Recently, the Harvard School of Public Health revealed their own version of the USDA "My Plate". The interesting fact about the Harvard recommendations are that they were not influenced by any lobbying group. The USDA 'Food Pyramid', and more recently 'My Plate', were heavily influenced by lobbying groups.
I believe the Harvard Healthy Eating Plate is by far the best and most accurate eating guide out there.
